The students of Laxminarayan Institute of Technology, Nagpur organized a rally on 6th August 2022 on the occasion of World Breastfeeding Week. The purpose of the rally was to spread awareness regarding the importance of breastfeeding. The head of the Co-curricular activities Dr. Shubha Dautpure took the initiative to organize the entire activity along with the rally. All the girls and teachers took an active part in the rally with great enthusiasm. All the girls of Third Year B. Tech assembled at the campus in the morning. The girls marched out through the entire campus along with the nearby area around the Institute in perfect formation carrying posters and banners with slogans creating awareness. All this drew the attention of the public to the harmful effects of avoiding breastfeeding for the mothers of today’s generation. The girls and the teachers went to the houses around which have small babies and explained the importance of breastfeeding to their mothers. This rally really made mothers aware of the need for mother’s milk for their children as well as for their own health.
