Launch of smart classroom near NTPC Simhadri, Vishakhapatnam

Digital education or technology enhanced learning has emerged as an innovative educational pedagogy. With an objective of making teaching easy and learning easier through visual mode and interactive high-end content, NTPC has embarked on a journey to make education interactive, effective and personalized.

NTPC Simhadri under its CSR initiatives on Improving Learning Levels has kickstarted the installation of smart classrooms in Mahatma Jyotibapule AP Backward Class Welfare Residential School, Thanam, and Mandal Praja Parishad School, Pandivaipalem in Paravada Mandal of Visakhapatnam.

On 24.11.2021, Shri Premchand, Head of HR, NTPC Simhadri, Shri Venkat Reddy, Principal, MJPAPBCWRS, Thanam inaugurated the "Installation of Smart Class set up with content for 9 classrooms" and School's Computer Lab set up by NTPC Simhadri by providing 30 No. computers. The computer lab will further be integrated with the digital learning initiative to assess and monitor the impact of smart classrooms on students’ performance.

Under the initiative, the capacity building of teachers will also be covered to facilitate teaching and integrate their knowledge with modern technology.  This event has been celebrated as Action of part of 75th Year of Independence - "Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav" and the inauguration was done in the presence of about 750 nos. comprising employees, school teachers, school staff members, students, villagers, etc.

Speaking on the occasion Shri Premchand, Head of HR, NTPC Simhadri said that the establishment of a digital study centre would enable the students and teaching staff to switch to the visual, audio digitalization era and would benefit the students in improving learning levels to a great extent compared to the conventional mode of teaching.
