Seminars conducted on Unsung Freedom Fighters of Sri PottiSriramulu Nellore District by District Administration
On the occasion of 75th celebration of India Independence the Ministry of Culture Govt. of India has taken up as prestigeous programme ”AZADI KI AMRIT MAHOTSAV”. It is celebrating in a Festive manner. In the Sri PottiSriramulu Nellore district on 03.08.2022 at Zilla Praja Parishad office, Nellore has organized 122nd birth day anniversary of Late Sri. Kakani Venkata Rathnam Garu and conducted seminar on the Unsung Freedom Fighters under the chairmanship of Hon’ble Chairperson, Zilla praja Parishad, SPS Nellore Smt Anam Arunamma garu and with the call given by the Collector and District Magistrate, SPS Nellore District.
In connection with the event, garlanded to Mahatma Gandhi Statue and planted species in the premises of Zilla Praja Parishad Office, Nellore by Sri KVN Chakradhar Babu IAS has also paid floral tributes to Late Sri Kakani Venkata Rathnam Garu on the occassion of his 122nd birth anniversary.
At the outset Smt Anam Arunamma garu, Chairperson, Zilla Praja Parishad, Nellore has invited the dignitaries on to the dais for lightening of lamp and for conducting seminar with the students of KGBV, Tada KGBV, A.S Peta and DKW college, Nellore on freedom fighters pertaining to our Nation Mahatma Gandhi, Nethaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Bala Gandadar Tilak, freedom fighters pertaining to state of Andhra Pradesh Alluru Seetharama Raju, Tanguturi Prakasam Panthulu and freedom fighters pertaining to Nellore District like Pottistreeramulu, Ponaka Kanakamma, Bezawada Gopal Reddy, Tikkavarapu Rami Reddy, Khera Subba Rao, Swrana Vemaiah, Dodla Rukminamma and Bezawada C.S Reddy. Spokesperson Smt G.Lakshmi and Sri Krishna Prasad were also narrated the importance and significance of the great efforts of our freedom fighers. The Prizes were distributed to the winners in different languages and felicitated the dignitaries of the meeting with momentous and Shawls .
The ceremony was closed with vote of thanks by the Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Praja Parishad, Nellore and singing our National Anthem “Jana Gana Mana”.
