Sri Pingali Venkaiah Garu and Sri Ballari Raghava Garu Birthday Celebrations in Sri PottiSriramulu Nellore District by District Administration.
In order to ensure the successful implementation of the “HarGharTiranga” program which has been launched by Min. of Culture, GoI, and as per the directions of the Chief Secretary to Government, GoAP, Sri Pingali Venkaiah Garu, the designer of the Indian National Flag and Sri Ballari Raghava Garu, an Indian playwright and actor's Jayanthi Celebrations are conducted in SPSR Nellore District on 02.08.2022 as a part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahostav.
The District Collector, SPSR Nellore District has entrusted the above program to the Municipal Commissioner, Nellore, and District Panchayat Officer, SPSR Nellore District.
Sri KVN Chakradhar Babu IAS has paid floral Tributes to Sri Pingali Venkayyagaru and Sri BallariRaghava Garu in Kandukur Division, SPSR Nellore District. Speaking on the occasion, the District Collector said that Sri PingaliVenkayyagaruhad worked a lot in designing the national flag of India. He said that their exemplary patriotism and self-sacrifice are a source of pride for all our Telugu people. He said that today’s society should take him as a role model. Similarly, in his speech, the Collector mentioned the services rendered by Sri BallariRaghavagaru to the people through his dramas.
After that this great event is officially started in the entire District through active participation of all Village level, Mandal level, Divisional, and District level officers along with Public representatives, NGOs and Social Workers, etc., as per the scheduled time. In District Head Quarter, the program was conducted at TikkanaPranganam, Collectorate, SPSR Nellore District.
Sri S. Kona VenkataChalamaiahgaru, Freedom Fighter attended as Special Guest and Smt. PotluriSravanthi, Mayor of Nellore Municipal Corporation has attended as the Chief Guest of the said program. All the District Officers also participated. The program started at 10.00 A.M. with the prayer of Vandearam and JandaUnchaRaheHamara. As soon as the prayer was over, the guests of honor lit the lamp. In continuation of the program, the guests paid homage to the portraits of Hon`ble PingaliVenkaiahgaru and Hon`ble BallariRaghavagaru and felicitated them with garlands.
Further, Smt. M.Dhana Lakshmi Garu, District Panchayat Officer, SPSR Nellore District started the meeting and informed the participants about the need for the program. The District B.C. Welfare Officer addressed the gathering about the life History of Pingali Venkayyagaru and then the Project Director, Micro Irrigation Department addressed about the life history of Sri BallariRaghavagaru.
Further the Chief Guest of the Programme Smt. PotluriSravanthi, Mayor of Nellore Municipal Corporation has addressed the importance of the “ HarGharTiranga ”Programme under AzadiKaAmritMahotsav is been celebrated to Commemorate the 75 glorious years of progress of Independent India. She praised the sacrifices of the freedom fighters and she asked the participants to give a pledge to raise the National Flag on all the Houses from 13.08.2022 to 15.08.2022 to show our Patriotism. Further, all the guests who attended the meeting honored Sri S. Kona VenkataChalamaiahgaru, Freedom Fighter who resides at Nellore.
Sri S. Kona VenkataChalamaiahgaru, Freedom Fighter has shared great experiences of his participation in the struggle for independence and in the struggle for Andhra State formation along with Hon’ble Sri PottiSriramulugaru. Further, he addressed about Social work that he participating at present.
Finally, the program was ended with “ Selfiewith National Flag ”, Initiated by the Ministry of Culture, Govt of India "https://harghartiranga.com" followed by the National Anthem.
