As part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Embassy participated in the plantation drive in the Shouf Biosphere Reserve. The Embassy is supporting the afforestation efforts of the Shouf Biosphere Reserve by planting 800 Cedar and other plant species. The Cedars live for centuries and as long as they survive they will bear the testimony to love and friendship between India and Lebanon. The Embassy team was joined by Mr. Charles Noujeim, Head of the Board, Mr. Faisal Abou Izzedin, Board Member, and Mr. Nizar Hani, Manager.
