As part of celebrations for India@75 and India-Japan@70, the Embassy of India, Tokyo and Startup India (Invest India) jointly organized the ‘2nd Session of the 2nd edition of the series of Virtual Pitching by Indian Startups on June 16, 2022. In his opening remarks, Mr. Mayank Joshi, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of India, Tokyo mentioned the Indian Government’s initiatives and comprehensive policy framework for supporting India’s Start-up ecosystem and innovation: India-Japan Digital Partnership and the role collaboration in Startups can play. Mr. Kenjiro Watanabe, Deputy Director, Invest Japan Business Support Center, JETRO made a special address during the event. 9 Indian startups in Enterprise Sector pitched their technological offerings before the Japanese stakeholders. The event was well-received by representatives of Japanese corporations and Venture Capital firms. Indian startups offer tremendous opportunities that can be leveraged by Japanese companies.
