On the eve of World Environmental Day, 2022 – “Only One Earth” and as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, Sri K.V.N.Chakradhar Babu, I.A.S., Collector & District Magistrate, Sri Potti Sriramulu Nellore District, Andhra Pradesh State has undertaken the Tree Plantation/eco-friendly activities in the District on 5th June 2022 under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Programme. The District Collector has planted trees at Vikrama Simhapuri University, Venkatachalam and at Municipal Corporation Office, Nellore.
Sri K.V.N.Chakradhar Babu, I.A.S., Collector & District Magistrate, Sri Potti Sriramulu Nellore District has explained to the participants to raise awareness about degrading environmental conditions and to encourage people globally to take positive environmental actions to help create a better future. Total No.of 10,000 plants were planted by the Electoral Registration Officers/Assistant Electoral Registration Officers/Booth Level Officers/Village & Ward Secretariat employees on 5.6.2022 at all Electoral Registration Offices, Electronic Voting Machine Warehouses and at all Polling Stations in Sri Potti Sriramulu Nellore District.
The Collector & District Magistrate, Nellore has participated in a 3 KMs marathon rally along with the Municipal Commissioner, Nellore, District Forest Officer (Territorial), Nellore, and 100 other participants from Municipal Corporation Office, Nellore on the occasion of World Environmental Day, 2022 – “Only One Earth” under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Programme.
