Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive India and the glorious history of its people, culture, and achievements. Our great nation is celebrating its 75th Anniversary of Indian Independence (Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav) this year. To commemorate the monumental occasion, all Departments and Ministries are hosting a set of activities for a resurgent, Atmanirbhar Bharat. In this connection, Pharmaceuticals & Medical Devices Bureau of India (PMBI), the implementing agency of Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP), under the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers organizing the various activities/events on 10th October 2021. The following activities have been finalised under the Mahotsav Celebrations.
- Health Check-up Camps at 36 Identified Locations (10th October, 2021 at 09:00 AM to 12:00 PM): Health check-up camps and distribution of free First Aid Kits will be organized by PMBJKs, officials of PMBI, Distributors and other stake holders across the country.
- Janaushadhi Paricharcha at 36 Identified Locations (10th October, 2021 at 01:00 PM to 03:00 PM): PMBI’s Marketing Officers/ Other officials, PMBJKs owners and Distributors will interact with Doctor, Health Worker, Nurses, Pharmacists, Drug Authority etc. to convey the salient features of PMBJP.
- First Aid Kit Distribution at Identified 750 Locations (10th October, 2021 at 09:00 AM Onwards): Distribution of First Aid Kit to Senior Citizens (75 Years & above)
These activities are dedicated to the Senior Citizens of India who have not only been instrumental in bringing India thus far in its evolutionary journey but also hold within them the power and potential to enable Prime Minister’s vision of activating India 2.0, fuelled by the spirit of Atmanirbhar Bharat. Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav is an embodiment for all who are concerned and progressive about India’s socio-cultural, political, economic, and healthier identity.
The events will be held across the country through Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendras (PMBJKs).
