CBE (community-based events) were celebrated in Block Nurpur Bedi Of District Rupnagar. On this day Anganwari worker and Circle supervisor gives the Information that The Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India under POSHAN Abhiyan has directed the State/UT governments for organizing community-based traditional events to promote and support behavior change, improve maternal and child nutrition, and increase awareness among the stakeholders. Community-based events (CBE) themes include Annaprasan Diwas, Suposhan Diwas, Celebrating coming of age – getting ready for preschool at AWC, Messages related to public health for improvement of nutrition and to reduce illness anaprashan diwas, Suposhan Diwas, etc. The expenditure will be Rs 15.58 crore @ 250/- per event per AWC. The primary focus of the community-based events is to take advantage of traditional celebrations of milestones in the mother or a child’s life beginning with conception, prenatal, and neonatal.
