Honorable Vice President of India Dedicated the Services of All India Radio, Nellore Station to the Nation, SPSR Nellore District
In a function held at All India Radio, Nellore His Excellency Sri M. Venkaiah Naidu, Hon’ble Vice President of India has dedicated the services of i.e., Simhapuri FM services with full capacity to the Nation on 27-04-2022 at 09.30 am from the studios of All India Radio, Nellore, SPSR Nellore District.
Sri Kakani Govardhan Reddy, Minister for Agriculture, GoAP, Sri Kotarmreddy Sridhar Reddy. MLA Nellore Rural, Sri Shashi S. Vempati, CEO, Prasar Bharathi, Sri N. Venudhar Reddy, DG, AIR, Sri KVN Chakradhar Babu IAS, District Collector Nellore have participated in the function.
When Sri Muppavarapu Venkaiah Naidu Garu was minister for Urban Development Housing and Information Broadcasting in the central cabinet that he laid the foundation stone for All India Radio, Nellore Station on 31.03.2017. He expressed his joy for dedicating All India Radio, Nellore to the Nation as a part of Azadi ka Amruth Mahotsav 75 Years of Independence.
Now the Radio Station, 100metres self-supporting tower has been erected at a cost of Rs. 3 Crore and the transmitter power has been increased to 10 kW. With the increased Transmitter Power and Tower height, the coverage area will be increased to 85 km radial distance catering to the people of the Nellore district and adjoining areas.
Before the advent of Information Technology, Radio was only medium to get authenticated news and also give an entertainment in the good olden days the youth was very much influenced by the programs of All India Radio.
The All India Radio has been giving much encouragement to the artists and poets. The beautiful Carnatic music has even relaying through Radio Programs. Many Musicians came to light and disseminate abundant joy in music to music lovers.
The All India Radio has also relaying programs on agriculture activities and gives suggestions to farmers with regard to cultivation techniques soughing process, etc. The All India Radio has also relaying news, The newsreaders are eminent personalities even their faces are not visible they have got a lot of recognition through their voices in such an audible manner on garner the fans from all walks of life.
The language used in All India Programs is a standardized language that is reachable to all the sections of the people even to illiterates. The programs are chalked out on the All India Radio in such a manner that to relate often and captivate the lakhs of listeners.
