The Corporate Quality Division of Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) conducted a Webinar for BEL vendors as per the Guidelines of the Ministry of Defence on the occasion of the commemoration of 75 Years of India’s Independence on September 7, 2021.
Subcontract and Purchase vendors of all BEL Units, Strategic Business Units and Central Manufacturing Services Group participated in the Webinar on the theme ‘Quality Improvement in the Entire Supply Chain.’
The programme began with the BEL Song. Mr Sankar Subramanian R, GM (Quality), welcomed the participants.
Mr Jagadeesh Kumar, AGM (BEL Academy of Excellence), conducted a training session on Zero Defect, Problem Solving Techniques, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Quality Management System (QMS) and Quality Control.
An interactive Question and Answer session with the vendors followed. Mr Narasimha Kumar, Sr DGM (Corporate Quality), concluded the webinar with his closing remarks.
A total of 275 vendors from across India attended the webinar. Heads of Quality, Purchase and Subcontract from all the Units and SBUs of BEL were present along with the Corporate Quality team which organised the webinar.
