The Kadakal Rebellion of 1938 or Kadakkal Revolt was a civil disobedience movement that happened against unfair toll collection in Kaddakkal in the course of India's struggle.
During the day-long observance of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, Imphal airport salutes the contribution of the Kaddakal riot in the Indian freedom movement. On this day, during this movement, people decided not to pay tolls, obstructed the sale of liquor and clashed with the British forces.
