ICDS Project Haveli organized Beti Bachao Beti Padhao awareness camp under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav in collaboration with Education and Health department. In the camp general public were informed about the Beti Bachao Beti padhao scheme which was launched on 22 January 2015 against the adverse child sex ratio and related issues of women empowerment over a life cycle continuum. It is a tri-ministerial effort of ministers of women and child development, Health and family welfare and Human resource development. The participants were further briefed that Bet Bachao Beti Padhao aims at tackling discrimination inherent in society that is faced by girls while changing the mindset of citizens in the country. Education of girl child and their societal participation are other objectives of the scheme.
