As part of celebrations for India@75 and India-Japan@70, the Embassy of India, Tokyo in association with Kerala Startup Mission organized the India-Japan pitching event for Startups from Kerala on November 28, 2022. In his opening remarks, Mr. Mayank Joshi, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of India, Tokyo discussed the Indian Government’s initiatives and comprehensive policy framework for supporting India’s Start-up ecosystem and innovation, India-Japan Digital Partnership and the role collaboration can play in Startups. He highlighted the significance of adopting latest technology and digital transformation. Five startups from Kerala in Cyber Forensics, Fintech, Cognitive solutions, Software and Healthcare manufacturing sectors pitched about their technological offerings before the Japanese stakeholders. The event was well received by representatives of Japanese corporations and Venture Capital firms. Indian startups offer tremendous opportunities that can be leveraged by Japanese companies.
