Ministry of Culture, Government of India, and Bangla Abar organised a cultural event at the Indian Museum, Kolkata on September 24, 2022, to celebrate the latest edition of 'Durga Puja of Kolkata' in the representative list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Meenakshi Lekhi Ji, Honorable Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture and Dr. Subhas Sarkar, Honorable Union Minister of State for Education were present at the event along with the Joint Secretary, Ministry of Culture, Smt. Lily Pandeya and other senior officials of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
Smt. Dona Ganguly and team Diksha Manjari showcased a stunning performance ‘Shaktirupena’ along with performances of Shri Shreekumar Chatterjee, Smt. Gopa Chakraborty and her troupe and others.
The Puja Committees, Rajbaris, Math & Mission, Artisans of Kumartuli, Baul artists, and dhakis were felicitated at the event for their hard work to conserve the intangible cultural heritage of India.
