The Business and Innovation Opportunities in the Transforming India for a Stronger India-Croatia Partnership – A Business Session with Deepak Bagla, CEO & MD of Invest India was held with the presence of Ambassador Srivastava, Podravka President of Board Ms. Martina Dalić, former Economy Minister of Croatia & other highly distinguished guests about the potential of expanding the cooperation between India and Croatia across several sectors. Mr. Bagla emphasized that Croatia could be among 165 partner-countries, reflecting the scale of India’s partnerships and the trust the global community has placed on India’s future. Mr. Bagla stated that the story of state investment institutions in India is unique. As the national investment promotion and facilitation agency of the government of India, Invest India is at the forefront of bringing global companies and investments into the Indian market by providing pro-bono assistance in a range of activities from market entry support, handholding through regulatory processes, to facilitating regulatory issue resolution. Over the past 8 years, 165 countries have invested over USD 523 billion in 31 states across 62 sectors! This is not a mere statistic; it reflects the scale of India’s partnerships and the trust that the global community has placed in India’s future. As part of our core activities, Invest India also conducts capacity-building and training programs for the state governments' numerous government and quasi-governmental organisations, departments and ministries to enhance the investment promotion climate in the country and expedite India’s entry processes for incoming investments.
