Mr. H Tovihoto Ayemi Hon'ble MLA and Advisor(Power) Govt of Nagaland in presence of Mr. C Murry Hon'ble MLA Nagaland has inaugurated the following 12 Substations & Lines of Nagaland grid. These all elements have been constructed by Powergrid under the NERPSIP scheme
1) 132/33kv 25MVA Transformer and it's bay at 132kv Wokha substation
2) 33/11kv 5MVA S/S at Niropen colony
3) 33/11kv 2x5 MVA S/S at Lalmati.
4) Augmentation of 33/11kv Chukitong SS to 5MVA capacity
5) Augmentation of 33/11kv Tseminyu SS to 5MVA capacity
6) Augmentation of 33/11kv Phugoboto SS to 5MVA capacity
7) Augmentation of 33/11kv Botsa SS to 5MVA capacity
8) Augmentation of 33/11kv Chakrabara SS to 5MVA capacity
9) Augmentation of 33/11kv ITI Kohima SS to 20MVA capacity
10) Augmentation of 33/11kv Industrial Estate Dimapur SS to 20MVA capacity
11)33kv line from Terogunyu SS to Phugoboto SS
12) 33kv Extension work at Terogunyu SS
The scheme is being implemented through Powergrid, in association with six beneficiary North Eastern states namely, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Tripura. The main objective of the project is the Government of India’s commitment to the total economic development of the North Eastern Region and to strengthen the Intra-State Transmission & Distribution Infrastructure in the North East region. Implementation of this scheme will create a reliable power grid and improve
NER States' connectivity to the upcoming load centers, and thus extend the benefits of the grid-connected power to all categories of consumers in the North-Eastern region. Team Powergrid, as part of its steadfast commitment towards service of the nation, is leaving no stone unturned to ensure power transmission during the pandemic.
Powergrid presently has 264 Sub-stations and 172,104 Ckm and 464,292 MVA of transformation capacity. With the adoption of the latest technological tools and techniques, enhanced use of automation and digital solutions, Powergrid has been able to maintain average transmission system availability >99%.
