5'S' competition across ARAI on Swachhata Theme: ARAI actively participating in Swachh Bharat Mission & Clean India Mission launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India through its 5'S' initiatives. 5S Philosophy focuses on effective workplace organization, simplifies work environment, reduces waste while improving quality and safety. Following activities were initiated at ARAI: a) Identified 5’S’ champions in each department and assigned specific responsibilities b) Prepared 5’S’ manual for uniformity and sustainability in implementation c) 5’S’ assessment by Trained assessors d) 5'S' competition To promote sustainable Swachhata activities 5’S’ competition across ARAI on Swachhata Theme was organized to motivate & create a competitive spirit amongst the Departments. The assessment of departments was done by a team of trained assessors by visiting the departments and assessing using the 5’S’ audit checklist. Various departments of ARAI are classified into the following categories:

Support Service/office
A total of 32 departments were assessed and normalization was done by Experts, Top 3 in each category were shortlisted. Winners were awarded Certificates and 1st prize winner in each category with a trophy. While facilitating award winners, Director ARAI reiterated Gandhian thoughts on Swachh Barat and request all to propagate the message of the Swachh Bharat Mission.
