The event was organized to celebrate India’s 75 years of Independence and 60 years of India Tanzania Diplomatic relationships. Clothing traditions of two states of India viz. Andhra Pradesh and Punjab were showcased in the fashion show. Agusta Fashions Tz associated with SVCC in organizing the event. Diaspora members actively took roles in designing and modeling the fashion show. Tanzanian designers also showcased their creative works on Indian apparel and Tanzanian models did ramp walk with these outfits. The premises totally packed with the audience who enthusiastically involved and encouraged the participants. Ambassadors and Diplomats of many other embassies were also enjoyed the colorful representation of India through apparel. H.E Mr. Binaya S Pradhan, High Commissioner of India to Tanzania in his opening remarks said 'these type of events helps to understand the culture of the people and the nations, and also strengthens the cultural connections.
