The High Commission of India in collaboration with the Ministry of Local Government and Disaster Risk Management, organized a handing over ceremony for the supply of 13 Trailer mounted water pumps and 16 LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas) fired human incinerators on 21st December 2021 at the Coromandel Fire Station, Mauritius with limited invitees (45 persons) on account of prevailing Covid related health protocols. The event is aligned to the Amrit Mahotsav theme of Achievements@75. Mayors and Chairpersons of Municipal Councils and District Councils, Officials from Mauritius Fire and Rescue Services, senior officials from Government of Mauritius, Mauritius Police Force, media, and representatives from Indian companies were invited for the event. The equipment is expected to augment the capacities of Mauritius fire & rescue service and the local Councils in effectively discharging their duties.
