The Eat Right Millet Mela in Lucknow began on the morning of March 28 with a walkathon, in which the green flag was displayed by the state's Food Safety and Drug Administration Minister, Dayashankar Mishra Dayalu, former Water Resources Minister Mahendra Singh, and the District Magistrate of Lucknow, along with their soldiers from the CRPF, Home Guard, Armed Security Force, and the PSC band, as well as more than 5,000 members of the general public.

The festival officially began at 12 pm and featured more than 50 stalls, including renowned hotels such as Taj, Lebua, and Rinesha, as well as ordinary farmers, "one district one product," and famous brands from Lucknow.

The festival included competitions such as cooking, rangoli, poster making, quizzes, among others, among school children, as well as sessions on frosty training, ruco, and yoga jumba.

In both days, cultural evenings were held, featuring programs such as poetry recitation, Mushaira, music, and drama by renowned artists. The event saw enthusiastic participation from 150000 people from all walks of life.
