Ganeshi Ram was born in 1901 in Delhi. His father’s name was Shri Ghisaram. He studied in Hindi and Roman Urdu till the third grade. He served as a soldier in the 2/9 Jat Regiment of the Indian Army. Ganeshi also joined the Azad Hind Fauj. In the guerrilla regiment, he served as a lance-naik.
