Mahavir Prasad Bahad

Mahavir Pramad Bahad, born on 25 December 1923, in Bikaner, inherited a deep sense of patriotism from his father, the renowned patriot Shri Chandanmal Bahad. His education began in Churu, but his journey into activism started early on. He initially worked for the Bikaner Praja Mandal and later for the Bikaner Rajya Praja Parishad. Representing these organizations, he actively participated in political events advocating for Bikaner. Later, he moved to Calcutta.

During the Quit India Movement of 1942, he played a crucial role alongside other rebels in subversive activities aimed at achieving independence. In 1946, he co-founded a party in Bikaner and served as its joint minister. Following the formation of Rajasthan, Mahavir established the Samajwadi Party in the Churu district and held ministerial positions for an extended period.

In 1955, he dedicated himself to the Sarvodaya movement, focusing on social upliftment. From 1952 to 1962, he served as a minister in the Marvit Karini Sabha in Churu. Later, Mahavir was actively engaged in economic and social initiatives in Jaipur.

Mahavir Pramad Bahad exemplified an unwavering commitment to his principles, dedicating his energies to the service of society and the advancement of his community's welfare. His legacy as a patriot and social reformer continues to inspire generations, marking him as a pivotal figure in Rajasthan's political and social history.
