Tejmal Nandecha

Tejmal Nandecha, born on 3 July 1922, in Pipaloda, pursued his studies up to B.A. and obtained an L.L.B. His father, Shri Nemichand Nandecha, was a lawyer who actively worked to awaken the national spirit among the people of his region. This dedication deeply influenced Tejmal, who also joined the freedom movement. His wife, Smt. Lakshmi Devi Nandecha, had passed away.

During the 1942 Quit India Movement, Tejmal played a significant role and was imprisoned for his participation in the national freedom movement. Despite this, his commitment to the national cause remained unwavering, continually striving to raise awareness among the people. For his contributions, he received certificates of honour from the state government and other organizations.

Tejmal served as the Vice President of the Freedom Fighters’ Organisation, reflecting his dedication to the cause. After India gained independence, he focused on public service, helping economically disadvantaged people, earning him the title of 'messiah of the poor.' His significant contributions to society and his role as a prominent freedom fighter garnered him great respect. He was often invited to various social activities, reflecting the high regard in which he was held by the community.
