Shri Ramnarayan Chaudhary, son of Shri Murlidhar, was born in the town of Neem ka Thana in a patriotic family. During the course of his student life, he was greatly influenced by Shri Arjun Lal Sethi. Initially he undertook teaching in the Shekhawati area. Afterwards, in 1916, he became associated with Bapu in Wardha. In the year 1919, along with Vijay Singh Pathik and Jamna Lal Bajaj, he established the 'Rajasthan Seva Sangh' and led the Begun Farmer Movement (1923). He also published weekly newspapers named 'Rajasthan Kesari' and 'Naya Rajasthan'. In 1930, due to his participation in the Salt Satyagraha, Ajmer, he was imprisoned by the authorities. He used to write editorials for newspapers even while serving his term in jail. In the year 1932, he worked for the upliftment of Harijans through the medium of the Harijan Sevak Sangh.

Shri Ramnarayan used to send news and editorials related to the Indian freedom struggle in the princely state of Rajputana to the Bombay Chronicle, Amrit Bazar Patrika, Hindustan Times, Forward, Daily Herald of London, and 'Nation' - the weekly of New York. He made efforts to raise questions in the British Parliament concerning the issues of Rajputana. He played an important role in the Bijolia Peasant Movement under the leadership of Vijay Singh Pathik. In 1938, under his chairmanship, another organization was established, named 'Rajasthan Sevak Mandal' to work for the cause of Bhils (one of the largest tribal groups in India). During the meetings of Pathik with Mahatma Gandhi, he used to be present along side the former.
