“The dearest of human possessions is life! A man gets the chance to live such a life only once. Every human being should live a life in which he can be satisfied that he has used his life for the liberation of mankind.”

Lenin's words are ideal for Nilam Rajasekhar Reddy. He joined the Communist Party in 1938 and lived a secret life for three years. Two and a half years in prison for opposing World War II in 1941–42 and intensifying anti-war activities at Agra Central Jail, Benares District Jail, Cheraili Central Jail, and Rajahmundry. His property was confiscated by the police in 1952. Born into a feudal family, Neelam dedicated his whole life to the communist and freedom movements. Chandra Rajeswara Rao and Tamma Reddy Satyanarayana served as Presidents of the trusts. Neelam Rajasekhar Reddy earned a place in the minds of the people of Anantapur district as a freedom fighter. He breathed his last on December 13, 1994. As a memorial to him, Chandra Rajeswara Rao Poundesha's research center for Marxist studies at Kondapur on the outskirts of Hyderabad was named after the Rajasekhara Reddy Memorial as the "Neelam Rajasekhara Reddy Research Centre".
