Freedom fighter Shri Madanlal Shah participated in the activities of freedom movement by establishing Praja Mandal. He was working in Nawalgarh, Jhunjhunu district and in the princely state of Jaipur till 1944. After that, in the year 1945, he came to Bhawani Mandi, in the princely state of Jhalawar for the purpose of trade. Seeing the feeling of political consciousness in this region, he formed the Youth Party and gave Khadi clothes and saffron-coloured flag to the people here, the one with an inset image of Mother India. His inspiration was Mahatma Gandhi. He was the president of Nawalgarh Praja Mandal. In 1942, as per the orders of Gandhiji, he worked while staying outside the region. He was always ready for any kind of sacrifice. He supported the cause of people and people also supported him.
