Bundi, Rajasthan

September 07, 2021

Shivraj Singh Hada, son of Shri Jagannnath Singh Hada, was born at Nainwa tehsil, Bundi. He participated as a volunteer in the Lok Parishad office with the motivation of Shri Braj Sundar Sharma. As a member of Rajputana Congress Students Union, he vehemently opposed the orders of British Dewan Mortimer Robertson. This led to punishment. In August 1947, upon the enforcement of Section 144, his very close aide Shri Ram Kalyan Sharma was martyred in the firing done by police forces at the Assembly of Khoja Gate. However, as good luck would have it he survived. Many court cases were filed against him. He remained in exile for a span of one year. Due to his political activities, his father was forced to disown him under the pressure of state government. His father wanted him to become a doctor. However, owing to his active participation in the Indian freedom struggle, he could not complete his school education.
